New MBWT operators association in Austria

In March the operators of mechanical-biological waste treatment plants (MBWTs) in Austria established an association to represent their interests. The "IV MBA" is based in Graz.

The 22 members of the "IV MBA", which is based in Graz, does not only include MBWT operators, but also plant manufacturers, engineering companies and universities of applied sciences, as the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Stoffspezifische Abfallbehandlung (a German-based association for material-specific waste treatment) reports.

Members of the IV MBA

Rudolf Haider (Umweltdienst Burgenland GmbH) has been elected spokesman of the association and Josef Pultar (Salzburger Abfallbeseitigung GmbH) is his deputy. Richard Trampusch (AEVG – Abfall Entsorgungs- und Verwertungs GmbH) is manager of the group.
